Material Used for Our Hardware Fitting
Aluminum: Parts in contact with aluminum or aluminum alloy conductors are made of aluminum to prevent fretting corrosion. Aluminum clamps afford high short circuit resistance and eliminate inherent losses due to their non-magnetic nature.Hardware Fitting's Steel:
Drop Forged Steel: Used for insulator string accessories subject to pull loads such as Ball Eye and Double Eye Clamps.
Sheet Steel: Used for Yoke Plates.
Flat Bar Stock: Used for Suspension Yoke Shackles and Extension Links.
Round Bar or Tubular Stock: Used for Arcing and Guard fittings.
Screw Steel: Used for rivet head bolts and threaded bolts. All steel components are hot-dip galvanized conforming to BS-729.
Hardware Fitting's Galvanizing Steel: Hot zinc galvanizing is considered the most effective protective coating for steel and malleable cast iron. We exclusively use hot galvanizing wherever possible. Zinc remains inert against metals like aluminum or copper, ensuring safe direct contact.To ensure accuracy after galvanizing, blanks are made accordingly, and galvanizing tests are conducted as per BS 729 specification and renowned international standards.
