The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the GCC and Egypt Media Center launched the Made in the GCC and Egypt platform in April 2020. The platform comprised all six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) platforms and Egypt  and all local national platforms that directly support factories and companies that produce the region’s unified national product before the common market agreement is activated.

Which creates the foundation for a market that promotes domestic National goods.

The Made in Egypt platform was launched in May 2020, marking the opening of the country’s first specialized platform that features Egypt factories and manufacturers across all industrial sectors and their derivatives.

The platform provides a profile of each factory, including information about its establishment, services offered, and products available through an online catalog in order to facilitate direct contracts between factories and national companies and suppliers from Egypt and around the globe.

The platform aims to empower local products, enhance Egypt industries, and increase the efficiency of the industrial sector so that they can compete both locally and regionally.

It accomplishes this by exhibiting admirable examples from our national institutions.

The Made in Egypt platform helps to render national products the consumer’s first choice in order to meet their needs for a high-quality product. This aligns with Industry Strategy 2030, which increases the opportunities for national companies and factories to target new markets and promote national products locally and internationally.

The platform is divided into the following sections: food industries, petrochemical industries, medical industries, metal industries, electrical industries, chemical industries, wood industries, textile industries, oil industries, plastic industries, operational industries, recycling industries, and supportive industries like banking, insurance, construction and contracting, shipping, branching, packaging, and customs clearance.

The platform helps to support the growth of exports and re-exports to both regional and global markets. It also assists distributors, representative offices, and sales outlets in identifying national factories that meet high standards of quality.

Furthermore, the platform offers a comprehensive report on supply orders and public and private tenders, as well as a list of approved suppliers in Egypt. 

Therefore, it is imperative that all factories and national companies register on the platform in order for it to become the first digital reference for Egypt factories and companies in the Gulf.
