• Housing: The 45SPI insulator features an HTV1 silicone rubber housing, created using the Intelligent Joint Technique (IJT2) by injection molding. This ensures a complete enclosure of the critical triple point junction, eliminating the need for traditional sealing systems and preventing moisture ingress.
• Core: The core rod is made from boron-free, corrosion-resistant ECR glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), eliminating the risk of brittle fracture.
• End Fittings: Polymer Insulators made from high-grade hot-dip galvanized forged steel, the end fittings are directly attached to the FRP core rod through a circumferential crimping process, ensuring durability and compatibility with existing insulators and line hardware.

• Electrical Field Management: The design of the 45SPI minimizes electrical field stress and partial discharge within the junction zone, utilizing an integrated grading ring to prevent corrosion and eliminate the risk of insulator failure.
