FM visits Maison d’Egypte in Paris

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, visited La Maison d’Egypte, a residence for expat Egyptian students that is being constructed in the International University Campus in Paris.   The Minister’s visit comes on the sidelines of his participation in a Paris-held meeting called by President Emmanuel Macron with a number From Arab foreign ministers in contact with developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip, said Foreign Ministry’s Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid in a statement on Saturday.   Shoukry inspected the wings of the house designated for Egyptian students studying in French colleges and higher institutes. He received a comprehensive overview of the various resources available to support their daily needs, comfort, and study requirements.   The Minister of Foreign Affairs was also keen to conduct a dialogue with Egyptian students abroad to learn about their concerns and enhance their communication with their home country, as well as to meet with members of the Egyptian embassy and consulate in Paris.     Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, the Egyptian candidate for the position of Director-General of UNESCO and who is currently in Paris as part of his election campaign, accompanied Minister Shoukry in his tour of the Maison d’Egypte.             Egypt Today
