Egyptian defense minister discusses Gaza crisis with U.S. CentCom commander

Minister of Defense and General Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces Mohamed Zaki met Tuesday Commander of the United States Central Command (CentCom) General Michael Kurilla who is holding a visit to Egypt.

  The meeting tackled a number of topics of joint interest in light of the current regional and international developments, particularly the crisis in Gaza Strip.   In that regard, General Zaki stressed that all influential international parties must concert their efforts to accomplish pacification, ceasefire, and sufficient delivery of aid through Rafah Border Crossing.   Further, the CentCom commander met with Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Osama Askar to discuss reinforcing military cooperation between the two countries.             Egypt Today
