Egyptian, German FMs discuss Red Sea security, investment

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry received Monday his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock. The meeting focused on the Gaza War and also tackled bilateral cooperation.   The two ministers equally discussed the volatile security status of the Red Sea where ships are getting targeted by Yemeni militants. Minister Baerbock stated that bilateral coordination would take place to assess the threats and devise ways to face them.   The German minister also affirmed commitment to maintaining dialogue between the two countries to eliminate any obstacles facing German investments. In that context, she commended the success stories made by German firms in the sectors of transportation, manufacturing, and energy.             Egypt Today
