Lacto Misr, established in January 2000, leads the production of baby milk powder and specialized food products in Egypt. Located in the industrial zone of 10th of Ramadan City, the company operates on a vast 31,000 m² facility. Production began in September 2002, guided by the vision of Chairman Dr. Ibrahim Ezzat.
A Landmark in the Middle East and Africa
Lacto Misr became the first facility in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa to produce baby milk powder. This achievement was possible due to a partnership with Austria’s Vogel Busch GmbH, a global leader in advanced technological solutions. Egyptian engineers collaborated with international experts to design and construct the state-of-the-art plant, combining local skills with global expertise.
Cutting-Edge Technology and Production
The factory integrates advanced Austrian and German technology, producing high-quality baby food, supplements, and food ingredients. Automated systems, supervised by skilled Egyptian specialists, ensure consistent quality. Additionally, the company gained vital technological insights from Milchwerke Mittelble GmbH of Germany.
With an annual production capacity of 35 million tins of baby milk powder and 15,000 tons of non-dairy creamer, Lacto Misr serves both domestic and international markets. Its custom manufacturing capabilities allow the development of specialized baby formulas and food ingredients, tailored to meet diverse global needs.
