Established in 1938, Egyptian Metal Works (EMW) stands as one of Egypt’s most esteemed and long-standing family-owned enterprises. Specializing in the manufacturing of copper and copper alloys, EMW has built a reputation for quality and reliability both locally and internationally.
EMW’s state-of-the-art facilities utilize a combination of horizontal continuous-casting furnaces, extrusion presses, and combined drawing machines to produce high-quality brass bars. These bars serve a wide range of industries, from bathroom fixtures and keys to gas and water meters, as well as various electrical and decorative elements. Our products are not only a staple in the Egyptian market but are also exported to countries around the globe, contributing to the quality manufacturing of items such as locks, door handles, and welding wires.
In addition to brass, Egyptian Metal Works (EMW) excels in producing oxygen-free annealed copper wire using rotary furnaces and upcast machines, followed by rod-breakdown machines. These wires are essential for cable manufacturers and are a key component in the production of electrical distribution boards. Our copper busbars are similarly renowned for their quality and are highly sought after in the electrical manufacturing sector.
A significant milestone in our history was achieved in 2016 with the production of our first Grade-A copper cathodes at our newly established 7000 TPY Electrolytic refining tank-house. Built with cutting-edge Isa-Process technology, this advancement has allowed Egyptian Metal Works (EMW) to further enhance the quality of our products and meet the growing demands of our clients.
Spread over 40,000 square meters in South Cairo, our factory employs over 200 skilled professionals dedicated to maintaining the high standards that Egyptian Metal Works (EMW) is known for. We also operate two storage and sales outlets in downtown Cairo, ensuring our products are readily available to our clients.
Egyptian Metal Works (EMW) has built long-standing relationships with leading companies in Egypt, including Ahram Security Group and ABB Egypt. Internationally, we are proud to supply respected names such as MI.GA.L and Gnutti Cirillo in Italy, Cherbros in Greece, and other prestigious firms across Malaysia, Algeria, Qatar, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
