Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry received Tuesday a phone call from UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza Sigrid Kaag who presented a brief on the monthly report she will submit to the UN Security Council.
The report contains the humanitarian status in the enclave in light of the obstacles set by Israel in the face of aid entry. In the framework, the minister was keen on learning about Kaag’s vision on ways to alleviate the impact of crisis and the outcome of her communication with Israeli officials in that regard.
The Egyptian foreign minister was equally eager for stressing Egypt’s rejection to the Israeli destruction of the Palestinian side of Rafah Border Crossing and failure to secure aid shipments after entry to the Strip as some get robbed in Palestinian Rafah.
