Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi awarded Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah ‘Order of the Nile’, Egypt’s highest state honor on Tuesday during his visit to Cairo.
The pure gold collar is a prestigious award which is considered Egypt’s highest state honor.
Sisi received on Tuesday Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah at Al Ittihadiya Palace.
An official reception ceremony was held, and the artillery fired 21 shots, welcoming the visit of the Kuwaiti Emir.
Also, the national anthem of the two countries was played.
The two leaders will hold talks on ways to further advance the historical and outstanding relations between Egypt and Kuwait, as well as regional issues and files pertinent to joint Arab action of priority.
The visit of the Kuwaiti emir is his first since he assumed office in December, but he paid a visit to Egypt on October 21, 2023 when he was the Crown Prince, representing the late Emir Sheikh Nawaf al Ahmad at the Cairo Peace Summit.
He also visited Egypt on November 27, 2022, representing the Emir in the COP27 and the second edition of the Green Middle East Initiative Summit
