172 trucks loaded with food, humanitarian aid cross Rafah Border into Gaza

Up to 172 trucks carrying food, relief, humanitarian and aid supplies have arrived in the Gaza Strip on Monday, through the Rafah and Kerem Abu Salem Border Crossings.

The Egyptian Red Crescent sends aid trucks after they become fully prepared to cross into the Palestinian territories and take their route to the Gaza Strip to be delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The Rafah crossing also witnessed the entry of a number of travelers and wounded, as data on the movement of the crossing over the past hours showed that 745 individuals arrived from Gaza to Egypt, including 606 travelers, 8 wounded, 33 sick, 94 companions, 3 Red Cross workers, and 1 person from the International Medical Authority.

On April 9, Egyptian official sources affirmed that Rafah Border Crossing will remain opening and operating throughout the days of Eid al-Fitr, to bring humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

The continuous operations of Rafah Border Crossing come in light of the tireless Egyptian efforts to ease the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip since the beginning of October 7th, as the Egyptian crossings operate around the clock to receive humanitarian cases and patients and treat them inside Egyptian hospitals.
